Krissi and Andrew

Nestled in the White Mountains sits the historic Mount Washington Hotel with its iconic red roof and breathtaking backdrop. It was the most perfect setting for Krissi and Andrew’s winter wedding. The only things more beautiful then the scenery were the details of the day and of course, the new Mr. and Mrs!

Guests were welcomed to the resort on Friday evening with a cocktail reception. Welcome bags contained a personal note from Krissi and Andrew featuring a watercolor image of the hotel, weekend itinerary and a “Things To Do” for many of the guests who were extending their stay. Each bag was filled with New Hampshire themed goodies like hot cocoa mix and maple candy!

We also included brunch tickets for each guest. I often encourage creating a ticket or voucher to couples who offer a breakfast the next day. This allows the hotel staff to know who is with the wedding party and keep an accurate headcount for the tab.

To achieve the all white esthetic Krissi was dreaming of we had to do a few bandaid fixes and camouflage the gold undertones of the hotels decor. Thankfully there isn’t much some imagination and good lighting can’t do!

I used wallpaper to disguise the yellow-orange brick fireplace, an easy yet dramatic change. The place cards and table numbers were done on Carrara Marble tiles and the menus were each finished with a silver foil. A custom light design was done in the ballroom to offset the warm yellows and greens and give the room an elegant winter wonderland feel.
